Netbooks I have been using my netbook alot at home, because of the writing prose tasks and lits circles, so mostly homework, but I also used to play games, like "Plants and Zombies". At school I used my netbook to research information of the internet for my report and stuff.

Last Summer
Well, last year, my family went to Adelaide in summer, to visit my aunty and uncle. Firstly, we had to settle in their small house, it was really squishy, because we were a family of 8 and if you count my aunty and uncle, that makes it 10, in a house containing 2 bedrooms. The adults went to a friend's house first thing after they had lunch, which meant we had the house to ourselves. We watched lots of movies and had lots of fun. The next day, we all had to go to the park and, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. We went to the beach the next day, but I didn't have much fun at all, if you ask me. It was soooooooo... sorry, can't find a word to describe it. My parent, aunty and uncle went to people's houses again, but they took my eldest sister, which was even better. We stayed over there for about a week and came home to rest and start the most boring summer holiday ever.

I once owned two budgies living in their cage, in my house, they were so cute and colourful. I wish I still had them, but I don't.
This is what happened to them: My sister (Saria) was asleep, because she was sick and I think the budgies were hungry, so they were making lots and lots of noise. Saria got really mad and called Mum to her and asked her to take them out in the garden and feed them. So Mum took them outside and asked my little brother (Mohammad) to feed them. Silly Mohammad forgot to close the cage door and you know the rest of the story, my budgies ran away.

New Goals
Literacy: My literacy goal is to become better at spelling harder words. Maths: My maths goal is to get better at different types of measurement, like volume and capacity Personal: To be more persistent in the classroom, when I have to do challenging work, and also trying harder at being confident.

Yesterday, in room 14 we took part in an experiment. The experiment involved the grade 6's giving the grade 5's their netbooks. The grade 6's were not allowed to use their nebooks, and they had to use the classroom computers. It was really annoying and so not fun.

Literacy: My literacy goal was to get better at writing poetry.
I have achieved this goal, by writing poetry at home, when I had nothing to do and was very bored.R
Maths:
My maths goal was to become better at fractions, decimals and percentages.
I have achieved this goal, by doing some work sheets with Miss Tonkin, and I practiced what i already know.
Personal:
My personal goal was to become a more confident person in the classroom.
I don't think I achieved this goal, because I can't help being unconfident of myself.
This year, the's in Ranfurly Primary School got the opportunity to have a netbook, which is a mini-laptop. I love mine, I always use it and I don't know what I would do without it. It has all the important programs in it and I love it!

Hi, As you already probably know, my name is Fatima Jaffri. I am in grade 6, going to Ranfurly Primary School. I am from Afghanistan and I came to Australia in 2006, 1st February. MY birthday is on the 11th of december. My favourite fruit is strawberries and I love orange and apple juice.
